These deep root treatments represent the core of Kiiko sensei’s life work, and are included each time she treats a patient.
In this class, you will learn how to quickly and accurately establish the root cause of the patient’s symptoms by combining history taking with Hara palpation, how to determine the best angle and depth of “Live Points” (i.e., precise locations that produce immediate results), how to confirm the effectiveness of your treatment, and then reinforce it with points on the back.

I am physician from Kyiv, Ukraine and I have been working with military and civilian people. After treating the military patient with Oketsu zone, his weight decreased by 13 kg - due to fluid. Back pain and joint pain have been diminished accordingly. Shortness of breath disappeared. He could walk from 200 metres to 2 kilometres! Before acupuncture treatment this man repeatedly treated in hospitals in Kyiv with cardiac and diuretic medicines but without any significant effect. So he could came back to the Army and continue to defend us. I consider this a great result!

Kiiko Matsumoto Style acupuncture (KMS) is a style of acupuncture developed by Kiiko Matsumoto, a living master acupuncturist. Her style combines ideas and techniques of her teachers (including Master Yoshio Manaka, Master Kiyoshi Nagano, and Master Yoshihiro Kawai) with her own clinical ideas and experience. The theoretical basis behind this acupuncture style is rooted in classical Chinese medicine texts, with interpretations that often make connections with modern biomedical concepts.
Many of Kiiko's novel point selections are based on her investigation of Chinese point names--- and how these characters anticipate contemporary medical insights. She integrates history taking with palpation-- body memories of trauma and other significant history are reflected as tenderness at specific reflexes.
The very thoughtfully constructed illustrations and slides that are interspersed with treatment demonstrations and lectures are invaluable. The memory devices and clever hints for the new students of KMS are so well done. --C.P., Pennsylvania
