Refund and Extension Policy
Because all login information is sent at the time of registration, we are unable to issue refunds for any reason.
Due to platform limitations and copyright restrictions we are unable to accommodate requests for extensions to either the recordings or the quiz.
We do not offer credit for future classes.
Please plan ahead and start early to get the most out of the course and ensure unforeseen circumstances will not prevent you from completing the course. Reminder emails with explicit details are sent to facilitate success.

Need More Time!
Of course we all want more time with this material! It is so good!
It is important to note that these webinars actually provide more time with the material than conventional, in-person seminars that last for only a weekend. By the numbers: 2 days to glean everything you can in marathon sessions vs. 37 days to watch in the convenience of your own home.
This format gives students the best seat in the house and allows for more engagement. Students can watch and re-watch, hit pause and rewind, and take extensive and accurate notes. Students can implement new techniques in the clinic and later review the material to verify and refine. Students can attend the Q&A sessions and/or ask questions via email to check their understanding. Such engagement with the material is impossible during in-person seminars, at which recording is not allowed either.
What’s more: The webinar format saves time because it eliminates the stress and added expense of travel. Ultimately, this format maximizes learning because you have a front row seat for curated and edited treatment demonstrations, as well as concise expert lectures.

How is the Course Organized?
Our courses are a unique hybrid of live and recorded materials.
Recorded Treatment Protocols by Kiiko and Lectures are available 24/7 in the class “showcase” on Vimeo. Students can watch and re-watch these recordings as many times as they wish for the duration of the course.
Live Question and Answer sessions via Zoom enable students to direct specific questions related to course content. They are recorded and uploaded to the course showcase so that all students can benefit from the discussion even if they could not attend.
Handouts designed specifically for the course and optional textbook Reading Assignments help students navigate the material and dig deeper.
Ultimately, success in the course depends on the individual student, who must engage in self-guided study to get the most out of the course.
How Do I Earn Credit for the Course?
Enrolled students must pass a 10-question QUIZ with 70% score by the deadline to receive state CEUs and/or NCCAOM PDAs. The quiz may be taken an unlimited number of times to receive a passing grade.
It is not necessary to watch all of the videos or scour the reading assignment to pass the quiz. In order to prevent unforeseen circumstances from interfering, it is better to take the quiz as soon as possible because no extensions are granted for any reason.
Can’t Find Course Material
All information necessary to complete the course is sent immediately and automatically via the registration portal to the email address you used to register for the course.
Be sure to enter the email address correctly and to check the correct email. More than one student has entered a typo or checked the wrong email address and then written to us in a panic!

Trouble with Video Playback
Unless you are seeing “Video Not Available” messages, any problems viewing the showcase will be entirely within your control. What that means is that either your computer (or phone, ipad, etc) or your internet will be the problem.
You will regain access much faster if you try the following troubleshooting suggestions first!
LOGIN INFORMATION: You do not need to create an account with Vimeo to access the showcase of recordings. The link you receive in the confirmation email will take you to a simple “login” page that requires only the password.
BROWSER: A browser is Safari, Chrome, or Firefox, etc. Make sure you use the most updated version. Try switching browsers to see if the issue persists. Currently, Chrome appears to be giving students the most trouble.
COMPUTER VS. PHONE: If you are having trouble watching all or any of the videos on your phone, please try your computer. Some students have found that not all videos are accessible via their phone. If you must use your phone, download the Vimeo app AND/OR ensure that you have the most recent updates. Also check that your phone allows cellular data use for streaming OR that your WiFi connection is strong enough to support streaming.
PASSWORD ERROR MESSAGES: Unfortunately, typos are most often the problem! Copy and paste the password—and ensure that there is no space at the end of the password.
OTHER ERROR MESSAGES: Vimeo has summarized the most common error messages and offers specific troubleshooting suggestions for each one. The most common are:
“Playback error: We’re having trouble playing this video.” If you are seeing this message, it’s likely that your window or browser tab has been left idle for an extended period of time. A quick refresh of the player or your browser should clear the error.
“Sorry, Because of its privacy settings, this video cannot be played here.” This message is misleading because it implies that the privacy settings for the video should be or have been changed. In fact, we have not changed the privacy settings and cannot personalize the privacy settings for each browser. Instead, this error message indicates that there a mismatch between Vimeo and your browser. The simplest course of action is to change the browser you are using to view the showcase. Currently, Chrome seems to be giving students the most difficulty; Safari and Firefox are not causing the same problem.
SLOW CONNECTION OR FREQUENT BUFFERING means that you need to strengthen your network connection by:
avoiding “dark” spots in your house
closing all other pages or programs
switching to a different network or upgrading your service plan
accessing videos during “off-peak” times
converting from “high definition” to “standard definition” viewing
TIME TO REBOOT! If difficulties persist, sometimes the problem is the interface between your device and vimeo, which can be “kickstarted” by starting from scratch.
Restart your router and modem.
Log out of Vimeo and log back in. If you have taken previous webinars, an old password may be saved. Be sure to use the correct password.
Clear your cache. Visit Vimeo’s troubleshooting page for specific instructions.

Video Special Features
Each course offers a full SHOWCASE of expertly edited lectures and treatment demonstrations on Vimeo.
You do not need an account to access the showcase; only the link and password are necessary. It is best to copy and paste the password.
Each video in the showcase highlights a specific topic.
Students can turn on SUBTITLES and view a running TRANSCRIPT--in English. The entire video transcript can also be searched for KEY WORDS, making it possible to jump immediately to sections where that key word is mentioned.
Live Q&A Sessions
The Q&A sessions occur via Zoom.
You can “register” at any time for the Q&A sessions via the link provided in the confirmation email. This additional “registration” process is at no extra charge, but will generate a link for you to join the session.
The registration page contains a link that allows you to determine when the session starts in your timezone so you can plan ahead. The session times are scheduled in “Pacific Time (US and Canada)” or “Los Angeles.” You can also use the Time and Date website.
if you lose the link to login, you can easily and quickly re-register . If the session has already begun, you will be routed immediately to the session.
After you register, you will receive a confirmation email with options to “JOIN MEETING” via a button, link, or dialing instructions.
Sessions will be recorded and added to showcase within approximately one week. They will be added to the last page of the showcase so keep scrolling! You can check the “Class Announcements” page to see if it has been uploaded.

Trouble with Handouts
The link and publication date for the handouts will be included in the confirmation email, which is sent immediately after registering with the subject line: KMS Acupuncture Webinar Information.
Handouts will be available on the day the course opens.
They will be uploaded to Dropbox.
You do not need an existing Dropbox account and you do not need to create an account to access the handouts.
Download the handouts by clicking on the down arrow in the upper right corner of the page.
A pop-up screen will ask you to login or create an account.
Simply click on “Continue with download only” at the bottom of the pop-up box.
If you encounter difficulties with printing, please try a different printer. If the problem persists, a copy shop may have more luck!

Ordering Diodes and Textbooks
Order diodes by sending an email to Kiiko at kiiko.m.acupuncture@gmail.com. Let her know how many pairs you want and include your name and shipping address. Medium size rings are a good start. She'll write back with details about price, payment, and delivery.

Worried About Quiz
The quiz has only ten questions, may be taken an unlimited number of times, and 70% is a passing grade.
Most students pass on their first try in under ten minutes, so don’t stress! You do not need to watch all of the videos to take the quiz, so take it as soon as possible to prevent unforeseen circumstances from interfering with your success!
In order to receive credit for the course, students MUST pass the quiz by the deadline.

Continuing Education Credits
Please verify re-licensure requirements with your board directly.
All courses are approved by NCCAOM and the California Acupuncture Board.
Most states (except California and Florida) and many countries accept NCCAOM-approved courses for re-licensure. We have submitted applications for PDAs from NCCAOM for all of our courses and notify prospective students as soon as a course has been approved. Since 2012, all of our applications have been approved.
California (and Florida) Acupuncture Boards do not accept NCCAOM-approved courses and have established their own accreditation process. For all courses, we have sought approval from the California Acupuncture Board. We no longer offer CEUs for Florida.
If you make a mistake when entering your name or license numbers during registration, please re-take the quiz with the correct information—and let us know of the error. We will delete the first attempt.
All students who pass the quiz will receive an NCCAOM certificate within 10 days of course closure.
For re-licensure, students practicing in California will submit the CEU certificate that is sent immediately and automatically from the quiz portal. Students from all other states (except Florida) and countries will submit the NCCAOM certificate that is sent by email within 10 days of course closure.
Need Certificate
State CEU certificates are sent automatically and immediately after you finish the quiz. Search your inbox, junk, social, and promotions folders for the subject line "Completed quiz" to locate.
NCCAOM PDA certificates are sent within ten days of course completion. To locate the certificate, search your email for the subject line: “Congratulations! Here is your NCCAOM PDA Certificate of Completion."
Diplomates can retrieve their certificates directly from NCCAOM's website (Click Login-->Certification button-->Enter Username & password-->Diplomate Benefits-->My Learning-->Download).
If you are NOT a Diplomate and you cannot find your certificate in your inbox or spam folders, please contact us! We can retrieve your certificate for you.

Questions about Certificates
I am not registered in California. Why did I get a CEU certificate from CA when I passed the quiz? If you are not registered in California, then the CEU certificate is only a record of course completion and you will submit the NCCAOM PDA certificate for re-licensure. Students from California will submit this CEU certificate to their Boards for re-licensure.
Why isn’t my state license number included on the CEU certificate? If you are not licensed in either California, then your license number is not included on the certificate because this certificate is for California acupuncturists whose state board has established their own credentialing process and do not accept NCCAOM-approved courses. If you entered your license number when you registered for the quiz, it will be uploaded to the NCCAOM portal and be included on your PDA certificate.
Why isn’t my NCCAOM number on my PDA certificate? This is a good question and is entirely a result of NCCAOM design. The PDA certificate will include your state license number but it does not include your NCCAOM number. If you included your NCCAOM number when you registered for the quiz, then the credits should have been automatically added to your account. If a course is not included in your account, please contact seminars@turningpointseminars.com so we can help you to troubleshoot the issue.
Certificate Course in Matsumoto/Nagano Style
Every course offered by Turning Point Seminars earns 15 hours of credit toward a certificate that acknowledges 150 hours of intensive study, which means that students will need to complete 10 courses to earn the certificate.
This certificate is not a certification, which is not currently available from any provider. Earning the certificate is a significant achievement, but Kiiko’s pursuit of insights and effective tools is llfelong.
In order to earn the certificate, students must take the Foundations or Essentials course, but you do not need to take this course first. Students of every level of study can benefit from this course because every student brings their own level of understanding and engagement.
We keep an enrollment record of every course you take and will notify you when you have earned 150 hours.
Certificates are generated in Oregon after each course ends. Because the certificates must cross the country to Massachusetts for Kiiko’s signature and Master Nagano’s beautiful chop, the process takes approximately a month after the course ends. We will send a copy by email when it is ready. The original can also be mailed and details about delivery can be confirmed after the electronic version has been sent.
Courses offered by other continuing education providers (even those in which Kiiko is the presenter) do not count toward the certificate. Because we are a small operation, we are simply unable to evaluate such records. Thank you for understanding.

We send invitations to create your listing by email once you have completed 150 hours and your certificate is ready for delivery.

Currently, we offer one or two courses at a time and course material is available 24/7 during a specified timeframe.

Our unique HYBRID FORMAT means that students of all levels can benefit from the course. We deliver Kiiko’s latest clinical discoveries via a combination of live and recorded material, lecture and treatment demonstrations, as well as background textbook reading and handouts designed specifically for the course.
Every student starts where they are and each class contains effective strategies that can be used in the clinic immediately. Depending on your level of KMS knowledge, the number of strategies you incorporate into your practice from the course may vary.
The benefit of the webinar format is that students can revisit the material at their convenience--at home and in the clinic.
During each webinar, the teacher is available for practice-specific questions by email and/or during the live Q & A sessions.
In short, classes are open for new and on-going students of Kiiko Matsumoto acupuncture.
Students can enroll in more than one class and join the course at any time during the term! Unless you enroll on the second to last day of the course, you will still have more time with the material than you would in a conventional weekend course.
