Kiiko Style Acupuncture for Structural Imbalances & Neurovascular Compression

$339.00

Drawing on insights from osteopathic medicine, cranial-sacral therapy, and years of study with Master Nagano, Kiiko’s treatments for “Structural Imbalances” and “Neurovascular Compression” represent powerful strategies for the treatment of pain and many internal conditions. These treatments have broad clinical utility and work at the edge of acupuncture energetics and contemporary bio-medicine.

Consider a few of the indications for these core Kiiko Style strategies:

  • Sphenoid bone Imbalance: TMJ, jaw pain, insomnia and sleep apnea, temporal HAs, pelvic/hip pain.

  • Vertebral Artery Insufficiency: Numbness and tingling in the limbs, vertigo, Parkinson’s disease, diabetic retinopathy, forgetfulness, occipital HAs.

  • Four Corners: Shoulder and neck pain, sciatica, any unilateral pain of the trunk and lower limbs.

  • Dai Mai Imbalance: Hip pain, QL pain, knee pain, shortness of breath, asthma, pectoralis pain.

  • Sacroiliac treatment: Sciatica, piriformis syndrome, L5 pain, prostate and bladder problems.

  • Spinal Imbalance: Scoliosis, lordosis, kyphosis

  • Fulcrum Imbalance: Eversion or inversion of the feet, calf cramps, pain or poor circulation in legs and feet.

  • Visceroptosis: Low back/QL pain, thigh and knee pain, sciatica, groin discomfort, frequent urination.

Kiiko Matsumoto Style acupuncture (KMS) combines ideas and techniques of Kiiko's teachers (including Master Yoshio Manaka, Master Kiyoshi Nagano, and Master Yoshihiro Kawai) with her own clinical ideas and experience.

KMS is rooted in classical Chinese medicine texts, with interpretations that often make connections with modern biomedical concepts.

Many of Kiiko's novel point selections are based on her investigation of Chinese point names---and how these characters anticipate contemporary medical insights. She integrates history taking with palpation. Body memories of trauma and other significant history are reflected as tenderness at specific reflexes

“I continue to study with Kiiko because there are always deeper levels of understanding that I access with every class. When starting, her protocols are easy use and extremely effective in clinic.  As my learning progresses, I understand more of the why and can apply these strategies in new ways. Sometimes I wonder if I have the time or money to apply to taking another class, but every time I am usually saying to myself within the first hour, ‘Well, that right there just made this class worth the price of admission.’”—Cheryl Kalsch-Lowrance from Hillsboro, OR

“If Kiiko only taught knock-their-socks-off techniques for instant results--and she does--her seminars would be still be the best investment you could make in your practice. That she also inspires us to to think more flexibly, more deeply, and more creatively about our medicine is the reason she is the most influential and sought after acupuncture teacher of our time.”
