A foodie before there were foodies, Kiiko Matsumoto's original training was in nutrition. Her mentor, Master Nagano, emphasized -- above all else -- the body's ability to assimilate and transform food. (His dying words: "Teach Stomach Qi!")

According to Kiiko, “QI is the ability to deliver nutrition to every cell in the body.” The failure of this vital function is the root of myriad diseases in children and adults.

“Nourishing Every Cell” provides an overview of Kiiko’s treatments for digestive disorders. This course is essential for new students of KMS. And, even if you’re an old-timer, this material warrants continual review.

In this course, you will learn how to assess and strengthen Stomach Qi and why this fundamental energy is critical to optimal health. Many common complaints are directly related to weak Stomach Qi, including:

• GYN and pregnancy-related difficulties

• Allergies

• Depression & anxiety

• Insomnia

• Dizziness

You’ll also learn Kiiko's unique points for the treatment of:

• Food poisoning, Crohn’s disease, GERD, IBS, abdominal pain, constipation, gallbladder problems, and other common GI problems

• Autonomic nervous system imbalances, systemic toxicity, and auto-immune responses in patients with digestive problems

Kiiko's approach to digestive problems reflects her remarkable strengths as an acupuncturist and scholar: Her original insights into the human body's evolutionary history, including the alimentary canal; Her deep insights into Chinese point names; Her contemporary knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.

This hybrid seminar includes:

• TWO live Q&A sessions on June 13 & 27 via Zoom with Kiiko’s protege, Monika Kobylecka, from 9AM to 5PM, Los Angeles time (PDT) with a lunch break from 11:45-1:00. These sessions are recorded and added to the Vimeo showcase.

• Round-the-clock access to the Vimeo showcase of Kiiko’s recorded treatment demonstrations, lectures, and Q&A recordings from June 6 to July 16.

Kiiko Matsumoto Style acupuncture (KMS) combines ideas and techniques of Kiiko's teachers (including Master Yoshio Manaka, Master Kiyoshi Nagano, and Master Yoshihiro Kawai) with her own clinical ideas and experience. 

KMS is rooted in classical Chinese medicine texts, with interpretations that often make connections with modern biomedical concepts. 

Many of Kiiko's novel point selections are based on her investigation of Chinese point names---and how these characters anticipate contemporary medical insights. She integrates history taking with palpation. Body memories of trauma and other significant history are reflected as tenderness at specific reflexes.
